The 2022 OBX SkimJam skimboarding competition will take place on July 16th and 17th at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head, NC drawing an international field of competitors with a $10,000 combined pro men and pro women prize purse. “We are thrilled to offer a professional prize purse of this size,” said contest co-host Wendy Caputo. “We’ve had a tremendous sponsorship run this year with great support from the skimboarding community and local businesses in the Outer Banks. We’re looking forward to hosting the largest field of professional male & female competitors the Outer Banks has ever had.”
The OBX SkimJam will count as the second stop for the professional men’s division for the UST and the first stop for the professional women’s division for the UST. After the first stop in Santa Cruz, CA for the professional men’s division, Lucas Fink is currently on the top of the UST rankings followed by Dane Cameron of Laguna Beach, CA and Jeremiah Sheldon of Newport Beach, CA.
