The time has come for the biggest offshore fishing tournaments of the year on the Outer Banks, as the 33rd Alice Kelly Memorial Ladies Only Billfish Tournament and the 39th Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament are set to begin within the next two weeks.
The Interfaith Community Outreach – Cancer Program directly benefits from the Alice Kelly, and the Pirates Cove supports a number of local charities.
Registration will begin for the Alice Kelly Memorial Ladies Only Billfish Tournament—the largest lady angler tournament in the world—on Saturday, August 13 at the Pirate’s Cove Marina Pavilion, followed by the kick off date on Sunday, August 14.
The Pirate’s Cove Billfish Tournament will kick off directly afterward on Monday, August 15 with fishing through Friday, August 19.
If you plan a visit to the Pirate’s Cove Marina Pavilion please park under the bridge at the boat ramp and stroll around the docks from the southside.
To stay up-to-date on all the offshore action, visit fishpiratescove.com for updates and to watch the weigh-ins. Charity raffle tickets for both tournaments may also be purchased at the given website.
