Dare County has announced the launch of its recently redesigned website, which officially went live at 8 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022, at www.DareNC.gov.
The Dare County website redesign process began in early 2022, when the Dare County Public Relations Department issued a community survey seeking feedback from the public. The survey asked users which aspects of the existing website were used most frequently, which features users felt worked well and which features they thought could be improved through a redesign.
At the close of the survey process, the Dare County Public Relations Department and Grancius—which works with government agencies to develop customized and user-friendly websites—analyzed users’ responses to the community survey and assisted with the design of a new and improved website that incorporates many of the changes that were requested by users.
The result is Dare County’s brand-new website that allows users to quickly and efficiently find the information they are searching for by streamlining an assortment of resources, adding helpful shortcuts, and making the site more interactive and easier for individuals to navigate.
In addition to adding an array of new features—such as a service finder tool that makes paying a bill or locating a form incredibly simple—the redesigned website’s URL has changed from its previous location at www.DareNC.com to www.DareNC.gov in an effort to make the redesigned website more trustworthy and secure for all users.
An overview of the new Dare County website—which will also remain accessible via www.DareNC.com indefinitely—as well as a highlight of several of its new and streamlined features are showcased in a video that can be viewed on the Dare County YouTube channel by clicking here.
