American Red Cross announces January 2023 blood drive schedule for the Outer Banks

Every two seconds of every day someone needs blood for surgeries, cancer treatment, serious injuries, blood disorders, and more.  This lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation; a single donation can save up to 3 lives.

“While 62% of the U.S. population can give blood, only about 3% donate”, said Frank Spruill, Red Cross Blood Donor Ambassador. “The actual blood donation takes about 10 – 12 minutes, and the entire process from arrival to departure is about one hour. If you are healthy and feeling well, please schedule an appointment to give now”.

Appointments can be made at redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).  All donors will be automatically entered to win a trip for 2 to Superbowl LVII in Arizona.
