The Southern Shores Police Department recently announced their Officers of the Year for 2021 and 2022. The Officer of the Year is the highest honor given at the Annual Awards Luncheon held by the Department.
The recipient of this award is chosen by their peers and is presented to the officer that has performed over and above expectations throughout the year.
For displaying high standards of law enforcement, Sgt. Eric Brinkley was named Officer of the Year for 2021 and Officer Thomas Long was named Officer of the Year for 2022.
