The North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, with support from Outer Banks Health, is offering a limited number of scholarship opportunities for their week-long 2023 Summer Camps.
The goal of these scholarships is to reach underserved children, ages 6-13, and fund registration and activity fees to attend our interactive and educational camps. The application is open until March 20. For more information on scholarships, contact 252-475-2332.

- Animal Planet, a week-long, half-day experience, welcomes children ages 6-7. Meet ambassador animals, enjoy games and crafts, and head outdoors for fun-filled activities.
- Junior “Shell”ebrate Turtles is perfect for ages 8-9. Participants will learn what it means to be a turtle and discover the turtle species that make North Carolina home.
- Junior Aquatic Adventures leads children ages 10-11 on an exploration of Outer Banks aquatic ecosystems.
- Junior Aquarist, for ages 10-11, allows campers to experience a week learning about how the Aquarium staff care for our resident animals.
- Aquarist Camp, for ages 12-13, immerses participants in the world of animal care, including preparing diets, testing water quality, and enriching our animals.
General camp registration opens online Monday, April 3 at 9 a.m.
