The Town of Kill Devil Hills will have a temporary road closure today, Monday, April 3, and Tuesday, April 4, 2023, for W. Durham Street at its intersection with Norfolk St, for utility and roadway improvements by Fred Smith Company.
Through traffic on Durham Street will be prohibited during this work. Local traffic may use Elizabeth City St. from the East or Newport News Street from the West to Suffolk Street to detour around the closure.
Durham Street will remain open from the East and West for access to adjacent homes.
This will be a daily closure from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and W. Durham Street will reopen at the end of each day. The daily road closures are scheduled to end by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2023.
