On April 11, 2023, at approximately 1:15 am, Deputies working the A-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on NC Hwy 158 near the Walmart in Kitty Hawk, NC.
While the Deputies were dealing with the violation they could see drug paraphernalia in plain view. The vehicle was searched and an amount of Methamphetamine, Drug Paraphernalia and THC pens were located and seized.
Darrell Benjamin Brafford, M/27, Kill Devil Hills, NC, was arrested and charged with (F) Possession of Methamphetamine, (F) Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance, (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and (M) Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia.
Brafford was given a $15,000 secured bond.
