Currituck County has begun a repair project to the waterfront at Sound Park, including the boat ramp area. Due to this project, the entire waterfront (observation area, boardwalk, two gazebos, and boat access) will be closed off to public use until approximately July 31, 2023.
The county apologizes for this temporary closure, but the repairs are very necessary and will greatly improve this facility for future use. During this timeframe, citizens should avoid the waterfront area of the park and use caution near the construction zone. Please do not allow children to play in the construction zone. All other areas of Sound Park remain open.
