On Friday, April 14 at 9 a.m., the Kitty Hawk community will be welcomed back to the newly remodeled Walmart store located at 5400 N. Croatan Highway Suite 100, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949. A community celebration will immediately follow through noon.
A celebratory ribbon-cutting and community event will take place that includes the recognition of community partnerships with the presentation of grants to local organizations.
A new Outer Banks-focused mural will also be revealed during the re-opening event. The mural features depictions of the infamous wild Spanish Mustangs of the Outer Banks, the Bodie Island and Roanoke Marshes Lighthouses, the Kitty Hawk welcome sign and people enjoying the ocean.
The public is invited to relish in the excitement with lots to look forward to, including vendors doing giveaways for attendees.
