The OBX Running Company invites the community partake in the mission to raise mental health and suicide prevention awareness during their upcoming 2023 Stigma Stomp 5k event. Stigma Stomp will be held on Saturday, May 20, at 8 a.m. at Currituck County High School.
Pre-event day check-in and packet pick-up will take place the day before on, Friday, May 19, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Jarvisburg Church of Christ located at 121 Forbes Road.
Race day Packet check-in and packet pickup opens at 6:50 a.m. the day of the race at the start/finish line located in front of the high school.All participants will receive a T-shirt, finishers medal, chip timing, light refreshments, and commemorative wristbands after the race concludes.
In addition to guest speakers in attendance, a memory board will be also be on-site for participants to leave a note or picture to honor loved ones.
The OBX Running Company also notes the following:
- This year’s course is NOT stroller/carriage friendly.
- Service animals are welcome.
- You do not have to run to join them.
Registration are as follows:
- Adults – $38
- Teens – $25
- Children (Ages 6-12) – $20
- 5 & Under – no fee
