The Manteo Police Department regrets to announce the passing of retired K-9 Boscoe. Boscoe was enjoying retirement when he passed away on June 14, 2023 after battling a short illness.
Boscoe was the Town of Manteo’s first K-9 and served from July of 2014 to August 2022. His passion and drive were to work alongside his handler, Investigator Doug Moore.
When Boscoe wasn’t on the job, you might have seen him on a long walk with Investigator Moore’s wife, Misty, who was ever so supportive of them both. Together, Boscoe and his family shared many sweet memories.
The Town of Manteo would like to thank everyone who has supported Boscoe and the K-9 program and extends a very special thank you to Dr. Elliot Grossman at the Roanoke Island Animal Clinic for the great care given to Boscoe throughout his life.
