Traffic stop leads to drug arrest of Kill Devil Hills man - OBX Today

On June 19, 2023, at approximately 11:00 pm, Deputies working the A-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hwy 158 near the Harris Teeter in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina

During the traffic stop a DCSO K-9 was deployed on the vehicle and it alerted to the presence of a controlled substance. The vehicle was searched and an amount of Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, Marijuana Paraphernalia and Brass Knuckles were located and seized.

Joseph W. Eddy II, 51, of Kill Devil Hills, was arrested and charged with (F) PWISD Methamphetamine, (F) PWISD Cocaine, (F) PWISD Marijuana, (F) Maintaining a vehicle, (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, (M) Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia, (M) Possession of a Concealed Weapon, No Operator’s License. Eddy was given a $25,000 secured bond.
