The Don and Catharine Bryan Cultural Series will present a book release event for Clark Twiddy’s new book, “Outer Banks Visionaries: Building North Carolina’s Oceanfront,” on Thursday, June 29th from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head.  The event is free and open to the public. “Outer Banks Visionaries” chronicles the region’s remarkable journey from isolation to popularity through the stories of visionary individuals who shaped the Outer Banks. This captivating book delves into the rich history and transformation of this scenic coastal area, showcasing the dreams, risks, and innovations that have made it one of America’s most beloved vacation destinations.

The event will feature a brief reading by author Clark Twiddy, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Twiddy featuring prominent figures from the book:  The panel will discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the Outer Banks tourism industry, and will offer insights into the future of the region.
