Vehicle search leads to drug bust in Frisco; 3 Virginia teens arrested – OBX Today

On July 1, 2023, at approximately 11:48 pm, Deputies working the C-District assisted the National Park Service with a suspicious vehicle located on Ramp 49, Frisco, NC. During the encounter probable cause was established to search the vehicle. During the search an amount of Psilocybin Mushrooms, Marijuana, THC and Paraphernalia were located and seized.

Benjamin Kemp Smith, M/18, Hayes, Va, was arrested and charged with (F) Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, (M) Possession of Marijuana greater than 1/2 ounce, (M) Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

James Allen Rooks, M/18, Williamsburg, Va, was arrested and charged with (F) Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, (M) Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Gaius Roger Del Negro, M/18, Williamsburg, Va, was arrested and charged with (F) Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, (M) Possession of Marijuana, (M) Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All three individuals were given a $2,000 secured bond.
