Eastern North Carolina continues to be under the threat for severe thunderstorms today.
A slight risk (2 of 5) is in effect for all of ENC, though the National Weather Service (NOAA) is concerned that an enhanced risk of severe storms may evolve across parts of ENC later this afternoon into early evening.
Some sub-severe showers and storms will move through late morning into early afternoon, with a potential break after that.Later afternoon into early evening, severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts of 60 to 75 mph, large hail, and a few tornadoes are possible.
