A new study by SmartAsset has found that Dare County ranks as the second highest county in the entirety of North Carolina with the most prominent small business presence. Utilizing IRS data, the analysis measured the percentage of residents in each county that depend on small business income.
Dare County ranked as one of the places where small business representation was highest with a small business returns percentage of 35.29%, in addition to an index of 61.12. Dare County is succeeded by Hyde County.
