Are you in search of the perfect fur-ever friend? A new addition to the family, perhaps? OBX Today in partnership with the Outer Banks SPCA is proud to present “Tail Waggin’ Tuesdays.”
Each Tuesday, browse our provided selection of videos and images and follow along as we showcase a variety of pets that are currently awaiting adoption at our local animal shelter.
This week’s featured pets are Po, Brynn, Bilbo, and Cletis. Verbiage is provided by shelter manager Leann Saunders:
Po
Meet Po! This sweet girl was surrendered into our care due to an unfortunate living situation. Her previous family moved to the Outer Banks and were not able to find housing that would allow them to keep their dogs. Both Po and Brynn have been living in a tent and her owner called concerned about them in this heat and we were able to take them in immediately. Po is very scared in this environment but having Brynn around makes her feel a little better. We are looking for a foster for both of them to be able to be out of the shelter so we can get to know them better. Po is very shut down in this environment and she would benefit by being in a calm home with someone who can get to know her and help us adopt her out. Po and Brynn are Mother/Daughter and do have to be fostered or adopted together. Please call the shelter if you are interested in helping.
Brynn
Bilbo
Meet Bilbo! Bilbo is around 2 years old and full of personality! We transferred Bilbo in from another shelter that no longer had space for him. Bilbo loves everyone and everything! He would be a great family dog or an amazing adventure buddy! Either way he would love to go home with you to get all the love and attention he deserves! Bilbo could go home with another dog, please contact the shelter to schedule a meet and greet with Bilbo!
Cletis
To adopt Po, Brynn, Bilbo, Cletis, or any of the other shelter animals, visit the Outer Banks SPCA Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., or give them a call at 252-475-5620.
