The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Outer Banks (UUCOB) will host two local artists, Jackie Tury and Dawn Gray Moraga, at a reception on Sunday, September 17, 2o23, after their morning service.
The reception is scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. at the UUCOB meetinghouse located at 831 Herbert Perry Road, on the corner of Herbert Perry and Kitty Hawk Roads. This art reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Jackie Tury is an award-winning artist living in Kitty Hawk. She is endlessly inspired by the beautiful surroundings of the Outer Banks and is grateful to live in a place that speaks to her soul. She is a juried member of both the Dare Arts Gallery and the KDH Co-operative Gallery, as well as a trained clinical social worker with an M.S.W., and a certified life coach.
Dawn Gray Moraga, artist and founder of Reddawn Designs has been capturing the beauty of the Outer Banks, NC through her paintings since 2004. She moved here out of college and fell in love with the energy and community that this small strip of land offered. She is part of the large surf community that makes up the Outer Banks. Her abstract wavescapes are known for their wild colors and dripping paint.
Please join us in welcoming these two talented artists! The mission of the UUCOB is “fostering wonder, creating connections, working for hope, and working for justice.”
