Autumn in the south is synonymous with many things: crisp-cool air, gold foliage littering the ground, and for many northeastern North Carolinians, the Chowan County Regional Fair which returns next week.
The 77th Annual Chowan County Regional Fair will offer five days of heart-racing rides, mouth-watering food, vendors, booths, livestock, and more at the Chowan County Fair Grounds located at 1317 W Queen St. in Edenton, North Carolina. The 2023 fair will be held Tuesday, September 26, through Saturday, September 30.
General admission is $8 for those 36″ and taller, and $25 for those seeking a wrist-band for unlimited rides. Advanced ticketing options are also available with a $6 general admission and $22 wrist-band for unlimited rides. Admission specials will be offered throughout the week, including Thursday in which all seniors (60+) can enter for free.

The gates to the fairground open Tuesday through Friday at 4 p.m. and will close at 11 p.m. On Saturday, the hours are 11 a.m. to midnight.
