Are you in search of the perfect fur-ever friend? A new addition to the family, perhaps? OBX Today in partnership with the Outer Banks SPCA is proud to present “Tail Waggin’ Tuesdays.”
Each Tuesday, browse our provided selection of videos and images and follow along as we showcase a variety of pets that are currently awaiting adoption at our local animal shelter.
This week’s featured pets are Willie, Hash, Kay Kay, Cletus, and Chandler. Verbiage is provided by shelter manager Leann Saunders:
Willie
Willie is about two years old and was brought into our care as a stray and was sadly never reclaimed. We were sure he had a family somewhere because he knows basic commands, walks well on the leash, and loves affection. We aren’t sure if the family no longer had time for him or moved and left him behind but we are happy to give him a second chance at finding the forever home he deserves.
Hash
Hash is about four years old and was surrendered into Tyrrell County Animal Shelter back in June because his previous family no longer had time for him. Hash loves other animals, being outside, and riding in the car. Hash knows how to sit, loves playing in the water, and is always excited to meet new people. We don’t know how this adorable guy is still at the shelter but we are hopeful he will find his deserving forever home soon. He would make the best companion for a growing family or even a travel partner for someone wanting to share their adventures with.
Kay Kay
Kay Kay is about two years old. We do not know much about her back ground as we pulled her from a shelter that was very limited on space. Kay Kay has been to several adoption events and can never have enough love. She jumps right in the car and seems to be house trained. KayK ay loves other dogs and would love to join your family!
Cletis
Cletis is about two years old and was brought into our care as a stray. We do not think Cletis was an outdoor cat and he is so friendly we were sure someone would come for him but sadly that didn’t happen. Cletis loves to sunbathe through the window and doesn’t seem to mind the other cats.
Chandler
Chandler is about four months old and is the only kitten from his litter to still be here. His adoption fee was sponsored by “Friends Family.” His adoption includes all up to date vaccines, neuter, and microchip. We hate to see kittens grow up in this environment and patiently waiting for his person to come along.
To adopt Willie, Hash, Kay Kay, Cletus, Chandler, or any of the other shelter animals, visit the Outer Banks SPCA Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., or give them a call at 252-475-5620.
This month’s sponsor of Tail Waggin’ Tuesday is Hatteras Island Pet Resort.
