National Public Lands Day is this Saturday, September 23, 2023. The day “celebrates the connection between people and green space in their community, inspires environmental stewardship, and encourages use of open space for education, recreation, and health benefits.”
If you’re in the Outer Banks, you’re invited to join Outer Banks Forever at Swells’a Brewing Beer Company in Kill Devil Hills to celebrate “Pints for Parks” on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Each year, Swells’a Brewing Beer Company will commit 1% of profits to help Outer Banks Forever in its mission to protect and enhance the Outer Banks national parks. As part of their partnership, Swells’a Brewing Beer Company and Outer Banks Forever will also co-host “Pints for Parks” events throughout the year, which encourage locals and visitors to come to the brewery for evenings that are fun and educational.
