Virginia man faces multiple charges after fleeing traffic stop on foot in Currituck County - OBX Today

On December 1st at approximately 9:05 pm, a Currituck County Patrol Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in the 2300 block of Caratoke Hwy. During the course of the traffic stop, the Deputy developed probable cause to conduct a vehicle search. A passenger, Ricardo Holley, 41, of 2919 Ambler Ave. Portsmouth VA, fled the traffic stop on foot. Deputies foot pursued and detained him. Deputies discovered a concealed weapon and narcotics on Mr. Holley.

Mr. Holley was charged with Felony Possession of Cocaine, Felony Possession Sch I, Felony Maintain Vehicle, Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia, Possession Concealed Weapon, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and RDO(resist/delay/obstruct) now including the fugitive warrants, and Identity Theft and Possession of firearm by felon. He is being held on a 700k bond at the Currituck County Dentention Center.
