Are you in search of the perfect fur-ever friend? A new addition to the family, perhaps? OBX Today in partnership with the Outer Banks SPCA is proud to present “Tail Waggin’ Tuesdays.”
Each Tuesday, browse our provided selection of videos and images and follow along as we showcase a variety of pets that are currently awaiting adoption at our local animal shelter.
This week’s featured pets are Squid, Camo, Faith, and Bella. Verbiage is provided by shelter manager Leann Saunders:
Squid
Camo and Faith were sadly surrendered into our care as a last resort for this family. Their previous family is in the hospital while he is undergoing a liver transplant and has to remain in the hospital for the next 4-6 weeks. With no family locally and boarding being so expensive they knew we would provide their dogs with the best care possible and are taking a risk with them being available for adoption. While we don’t want any animal to be here for that long we are reaching out to see if anyone would be willing to foster over this time so that they could be returned to their family. Camo is about 2 years old and Faith is about 4 both of them were previously adopted from our shelter!
To adopt a shelter animal, visit the Outer Banks SPCA Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., or give them a call at 252-475-5620.
This month’s sponsor of Tail Waggin’ Tuesday is Hatteras Island Pet Resort.
