The pier at the Town of Nags Head’s estuarine access on the US 64 Nags Head – Manteo causeway will close starting today, Monday, April 1, for approximately four months to undergo a replacement. This upgrade will ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for all who visit.
The kayak launch at the access will also be closed during demolition of the structure. However, the Town states that they’re checking with the contractor to see if we can safely reopen the launch during the building process. The closure period is subject to change based on weather.
