On August 30, 2024, deputies made a stop on an individual at 6520 Caratoke Hwy. for felony drug related outstanding warrants. Pursuant to an arrest a search was done where trafficking amounts of heroin was located.
Cody Carden, 28, was given a $525,000 secured bond for the outstanding warrants and given a no bond (48 hour hold) for the new charges of trafficking in heroin, PWISD heroin, simple possession of schedule II, carry concealed weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
