Currituck County continues its storm water pumping operation in Corolla today, Monday, September 23, 2024. Individuals should use caution near pumping equipment and avoid the discharge water at all outfall locations on the beach.
Pumping is ongoing at the following locations:
- Ocean Sands Section O (2 pumps)
- Ocean Sands Section F (1 pump)
- Crown Point (1 pump)
- In the 4WD area on Sandpiper Rd., just north of the Laughing Gull house. (1 pump)
Motorists should be aware that the 4WD beach may be impassable for the time period of 2 hours before high tide until 2 hours after high tide. Tide information is available at https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/.
