Downtown Books is very pleased to announce that for October’s First Friday Book Signing they will be joined by Manteo resident, local therapist and published author Kathleen Brehony.
Kathleen is the proud author of several previous personal growth titles (After the Darkest Hour, Awakening at Midlife) and has just released her first novel, The Third Act. Billed as ‘a spicy Lesbian romance’ her book has garnered great attention and reviews in just the few short weeks it has been out.
‘Shannon O’Connell is broken. She is sixty-five years old and looks twenty years younger – there’s not much that makes her happy. Her partner of thirty years left her for a mutual friend offering only the cliche “I love you, but I’m not in love with you.” Her mother is disappearing before her eyes with dementia.
