The National Weather Service (NOAA) has issued a tornado watch for the Outer Banks and all surrounding areas today, Friday, September 27, 2024.
The NOAA notes that Tropical tornadoes can often spin up quickly so we continue to stress the community has multiple ways to receive warnings and know where to shelter if a WARNING is issued.
