On April 24, 2023 at 08:30 pm., Deputies working the A District conducted a traffic stop on NC Highway 12 near Luke Street in Kitty Hawk of a vehicle for the owner not being licensed to drive. Upon approach of the vehicle, the Deputies saw in the vehicle drug paraphernalia and a search of the vehicle was conducted.
Thomas Myers, 55, of Kitty Hawk was arrested and placed in the Dare County Detention Center for Felony possession of Cocaine and Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia with a $17,000 bond.
