Are you in search of the perfect fur-ever friend? A new addition to the family, perhaps? OBX Today in partnership with the Outer Banks SPCA is proud to present “Tail Waggin’ Tuesdays.”
Each Tuesday, browse our provided selection of videos and images and follow along as we showcase a variety of pets that are currently awaiting adoption at our local animal shelter.
This week’s featured pets are Butterscotch & Cobbler, Grandpa Joe, Kyrie, Noodle, and Socks & Boots!
Butterscotch & Cobbler
Butterscotch and Cobbler were flown into the SPCA’s care from Puerto Rico about a month ago. They were in a litter of 7 and the rest have been adopted. Both are about five months old and full of personality. They love the water, being outside, and giving kisses! Cobbler is a little more shy at first but they both walk great on the leash and are opening up more and more every day. The shelter would love to see them get to go into an outgoing and active family.
Grandpa Joe
According to shelter staff, Grandpa Joe is the absolute sweetest and is so silly. He is about nine years old and still plays with the puppies. He is having surgery on July 10 to get his teeth fixed up and feeling better. He enjoys getting attention from everyone and food is the way to his heart. He loves his dog bed, going for walks, and soaking up the sun. The shelter says they hope Grandpa Joe can find his forever home soon.
Kyrie
Kyrie was adopted from the OBX SPCA about eight years ago and was sadly returned back into the shelter’s care in March and has had no interest. Kyrie’s favorite thing is riding in the car, and he can never have enough balls to play with! Kyrie did live with another female dog, but staff would like to do a dog meet before leaving the shelter again. Kyrie is also completely house trained and loves belly rubs.
Noodle
Noodle is one of the many kittens in the shelter’s free roaming kitten room. He lights up the room with his funny and playful personality. His sibling did just get adopted and we are hoping it’s his turn next! He is about two months old and has been in the SPCA’s care since April.
Socks & Boots
Socks and Boots are about two years old and have been in the shelter’s care since they were kittens. Since they were born in the SPCA’s care and have only lived in a controlled environment, they are a little more shy, but once out of their cage they love attention. They are bonded, which means the shelter wants them to go home together for double the fun.
